• How do I know which MUVO Balayage Shampoo I should use for my Balayage Hair?

  The MUVO Balayage Shampoo that you choose depends on the lightest part of your hair. If the lightest part of your multi-dimensional hair is light blonde, or if your hair is light to medium balayage, where the base or root colour is medium blonde, we suggest that you use MUVO Balayage Shampoo For Blondes.

  

  If the lightest part of your hair is a dark blonde/light brown or a medium to dark balayage where the base or root colour of your hair is a medium to dark brunette, we suggest that you use MUVO Balayage Shampoo For Brunettes.

  

• How long should I leave MUVO Balayage Shampoo in my hair?

  Balayage Shampoos were designed to be washed in and rinsed out of your hair without any wait times. If you start to experience brassiness, you could leave in for a little longer to counteract warmth. We recommend that you experiment with timings to get your preferred tone.

• How is Balayage Shampoo different to Ultra Blonde & Coolest Brunette Shampoo?

  MUVO Balayage Shampoo was specifically designed to preserve existing multi-dimensional hair for blondes & brunettes. Multi-dimensional hair requires a more subtle, careful blend of colour and toning to ensure that your hair is not altered in any way, but kept looking its best. MUVO Ultra Blonde & Coolest Brunette Shampoos are professional toning products designed for colour correction on hair that is one global shade.

• How often should I use MUVO Balayage?

  We recommend using every second wash and use MUVO Totally Naked Shampoo and Conditioner in between. Depending on the instructions of your hairdresser, we suggest using MUVO Deep Cleansing Shampoo, our clarifying shampoo, once a month to remove build up and clean hair back to base.

• Is MUVO Balayage Shampoo just for balayage hair?

  MUVO Balayage Shampoo was designed to be used on all types of multidimensional hair. Whether you have balayage, ombre, bronde, foiliyage, highlights/lowlights, face framing, root stretch or root tap, MUVO Balayage Shampoo will keep your multi-dimensional hair refreshed, blended and looking great for longer. MUVO Balayage Shampoo For Blondes to be used on light to medium multi-dimensional blonde hair and MUVO Balayage For Brunettes for medium to dark multi-dimensional hair.

• Is MUVO Balayage suitable for grey hair?

  MUVO Balayage Shampoo is a staining shampoo and it’s success on grey hair has differed depending on a number of things:

  • what shade of grey the hair is (from white through to dark grey hair)
  • how long the hair has been grey for
  • what colour the hair was before it was grey
  • whether the hair has been bleached or coloured (Balayage Shampoo will grab to the treated component of the hair) For example, a full head of white hair that has been white/grey for 10 years is unlikely to achieve any success. (However, the hair will be beautifully toned!)

  If in doubt, we recommend trying a sample of Balayage Shampoo first.

• Do I need to use MUVO Balayage Shampoo on clean hair? Or use a regular shampoo afterwards?

  No. MUVO Balayage Shampoo is a shampoo. It has all the yummy ingredients to leave your hair clean and vibrant.

• Is MUVO Balayage gluten free?

  Yes! Balayage Shampoo is gluten free.

• Will MUVO Balayage stain my hands?

  Like any beauty product with colour there is some risk of staining. This will depend on the condition of your skin (dryness etc.) If staining does occur, MUVO Balayage Shampoo can be removed quite easily. Make sure you thoroughly rinse hands immediately after use or whilst you’re waiting for development. If concerned, we recommend using dark towels on toning days!

• Is MUVO Balayage suitable for children?

  Whilst MUVO Balayage Shampoo is safe on children’s hair, it was never designed for them. If they have existing salon treated balayage hair, then Balayage Shampoo should help to maintain their balayage hair.
