• How long should I leave MUVO Ultra Rose Shampoo in my client's hair?

  MUVO Ultra Rose was designed for you and your clients to experiment to achieve different shades of pink for blonde and highlighted hair. Different times get different results. Blonde and bleached hair will achieve brighter results much more quickly than highlighted hair. We recommend that you leave for 1-3 minutes for soft pink tones and 5-10 minutes for brighter pink tones. Dark blonde hair will not achieve bright pink results. Did you know you can also try MUVO Ultra Rose on dry hair?! Applying on dry hair will produce brighter, more vivid, pink tones especially if your client’s  hair is pre-lightened (the colour will grab far more quickly too!)

• How long will it take for MUVO Ultra Rose to wash out of my client's hair?

  MUVO Ultra Rose washes out in 1-3 washes in most cases. If your client’s hair is very light blonde and porous it could take 3-4 washes. TIP: To speed up the process you can always use a clarifying shampoo like MUVO Deep Cleansing Shampoo.

• Is MUVO Ultra Rose suitable for grey hair?

  MUVO Ultra Rose is a staining shampoo and results will vary on grey hair depending on a number of things:

  • what shade of grey your client’s hair is (from white through to dark grey hair)
  • how long the hair has been grey for
  • what colour the hair was before it was grey
  • whether the hair has been bleached or coloured (Ultra Rose will grab to the treated component of the hair).

  For example, a full head of white hair that has been white/grey for 10 years is unlikely to achieve any pink success, whereas blonde hair speckled with grey is likely to be successful. Ultra Rose Shampoo is most likely to work on bleached and colour-treated grey hair. If in doubt, test a small strand of hair.

• How often should my client use MUVO Ultra Rose Shampoo?

  We designed MUVO Ultra Rose Shampoo to give you and your clients the power to experiment with temporary pink colour. It is not meant to be used every time your client washes their hair. Make sure your client maintains with MUVO Totally Naked Shampoo and Conditioner until it’s time for them to play with pink again!

  If they’re loving the results and want pink hair every day, we recommend that you have them dye their hair permanently.

• My client's hair is not taking to Ultra Rose in the way I expected it to. What am I doing wrong?

  In order to get Ultra Rose performing in the way you’d expect it to, you might want to consider the following factors:

  • age (Ultra Rose is not suitable for use on children’s hair – see our FAQ on Ultra Rose and suitability for children)
  • hair type, any greys? (Ultra Rose is not always successful on grey hair; see our FAQ on Ultra Rose and grey hair.
  • product usage. Certain shampoo, conditioner, treatment, dry shampoo, leave-ins, sprays (and how often your client uses them) could be causing build up on their hair. This could make it very difficult for Ultra Rose to work effectively. In this case, we recommend the use of a clarifying or MUVO Deep Cleansing Shampoo to recalibrate and clean down to a fresh base. This will allow Ultra Rose to work more effectively and get the better results.
  • what hair colouring/treatments have been done (either in the salon or at home) over the past 3-6 months. If your client’s hair is over-processed or not lifted to a “clean” level this will affect results. Overly dry, porous hair will absorb quickly in some areas and results may be uneven.

  Ultra Rose is a temporary shampoo and not meant to colour hair permanently or regularly. We recommend the use MUVO Totally Naked Shampoo and Conditioner for regular use S&C and then use Ultra Rose occasionally, and in between to have creative pink colour fun! • My client has been using MUVO Ultra Rose for over 2 months and now her hair is appearing murky. What's gone wrong?

  Yeah, we know your clients love being pink, but sometimes they can over-MUVO. For the Ultra Rose addicts out there you need to make sure that their hair is in great condition and that they use a normal (non-coloured) shampoo and conditioner in between Ultra Rose. If your client wants pink hair everyday, we recommend that you dye their hair permanently pink, instead of them using a temporary colour shampoo. Over-use can cause colour build-up and may lead to colour damage. We recommend MUVO Totally Naked Shampoo and Conditioner for use in between washing with Ultra Rose. Over processed, unhealthy hair can also lead to murky tones after long-term and regular use. Tell them to go easy on the pink!

• Is MUVO Ultra Rose Shampoo just for blondes?

  MUVO Ultra Rose can be used on bleached or highlighted hair as well as blonde hair. It’s also great on rose gold or peach toned hair whether it be natural or salon created. Your clients will experience much shorter wait times on salon coloured hair than natural or darker shades. MUVO Ultra Rose is very versatile. Experimenting with timing will give unique results that will keep your client’s hair looking refreshed.

• Will MUVO Ultra Rose Shampoo make my client's hair go pink?

  That’s our plan! Don’t forget though, MUVO Ultra Rose is a toning shampoo. Lather up and immediately wash out and your client will get soft, dusty pink tones. The longer they leave it, the more colour they will deposit. Not to be used every wash.

• Do my clients need to use MUVO Ultra Rose Shampoo on clean hair? Or use a regular shampoo afterwards?

  No. MUVO Ultra Rose is a shampoo. It has all the yummy ingredients to leave your client’s hair clean and vibrant.

• Can my client use MUVO Ultra Rose Shampoo if their roots (or ends) are a different colour?

  MUVO Ultra Rose can be used in this scenario but be sure to apply mainly to the section of their hair where toning is required. If your client’s ends are a fashion shade (eg. balayage) MUVO Ultra Rose is perfect for where pink toning is required. Here’s a trick! If you want to avoid toning a section of hair, before applying shampoo, coat the areas that you don’t wish to tone with MUVO Totally Naked Conditioner, to avoid MUVO Ultra Rose Shampoo coming into contact with this section.

• How do I know if MUVO Ultra Rose Shampoo is right for my client's hair type?

  MUVO Ultra Rose can be used on all hair types if your desire is to add pink hues to your client’s hair. Different hair types, depending on whether they have pre-coloured, or naturally, light hair, will determine processing times. Again, we invite you to experiment!

• Will MUVO Ultra Rose Shampoo stain my hands and/or towels?

  Like any beauty product with colour, there is some risk of staining. This will depend on the condition of your skin (dryness, etc). Make sure you thoroughly rinse hands immediately after use or whilst you’re waiting for development. We find that hand staining usually comes off with MUVO Conditioner. Product may stain absorbent material. If concerned, we recommend using dark towels on toning days!

• Is MUVO Ultra Rose suitable for children?

  Whilst MUVO Ultra Rose Shampoo is safe on children’s hair, it was never designed to colour their hair and may not give pink results.
